Detox Your Bathroom for Health – Why and How

Detox your home starting with your bathroom. Let me ask you this:

DetoxIs your bathroom poisoning you?

If you are like most of us, you start your morning by heading to the bathroom to get ready to face the day. Let’s talk about what happens when you perform your rituals and how you might be adversely affecting your health and the health of your family. You might not know it, but the soaps, lotions, creams, toothpaste, deodorants, sprays, shampoos, and even the laundry soaps you use on your towels might be the reasons you have less than perfect health.

Why detox your bathroom?

Let’s talk about what you might normally do, and what we can do to solve the problem and keep you healthy. If you shave, man or woman, you probably start by putting some hot water on your skin to soften the whiskers, then apply shaving cream. The shaving cream lathers up and we think that it is a good thing. However the shaving cream is loaded with toxic chemicals. One of the very bad chemicals in most shaving creams is sodium lauryl sulfate. This is also found in most soap and helps to make creams and soaps foam up. It can cause skin irritation, dry skin, and can cause vision problems if it gets in the eyes or is absorbed into the skin. If you use hot water when shaving, the hot water will open up the pores of your skin and give the chemicals an open route into your body. Sodium lauryl sulfate exposure can also lead to headache, difficulty breathing, and hair loss. If you cut yourself shaving, the chemicals have a clear path directly into your blood system. Back Pain – Any Pain – What to do when it won’t go away

Back Pain - The SpineNeed some tips on what to do when your back pain (or any pain) just won’t go away? Read on…

Everyone, at some time in their lives, has been in such pain that they would give anything to make the pain go away. Back pain or any kind of pain. We’re willing to remove the painful part, give up a day, week or month of our lives, or even cut a deal with the creator to make the pain stop. In most cases, the pain does go away and we can return to our normal lives. However, in many cases the pain does not go away and sometimes the pain will even get worse as time goes on.

Orthodox medicine will begin with trying medication to alleviate the pain. This oftentimes does not resolve the cause of the pain it simply covers up the pain. The problem is still present, you are just not aware of it. This can be dangerous because the pain is actually a good thing, it is there to tell you something is wrong.

If we cover up the pain, the problem may actually get worse but you are not aware of the negative progression of the condition. The level of medication that once covered up the pain may not be enough anymore and you may have to increase the dosage or type of drug to achieve the same level of pain relief. The down sides of this style of treatment are numerous. Read More→

Homocysteine – Worse than cholesterol?

Healthy FoodsHomocysteine is a word most people have never heard of, yet not knowing what it is and what it does could cost you your life. Homocysteine is a naturally occurring amino acid that is necessary for normal function of the body. The problem is that when it does not perform properly it can be the precipitating factor in cardiovascular diseases (heart and circulatory diseases) such as arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), heart attack, high blood pressure and stroke.

For many years, experts have believed the theory that measuring the level of cholesterol floating around in your blood was the best way to measure your risk of cardiovascular disease. They believed that your blood cholesterol levels would increase by eating too much cholesterol and this, simply, was the cause of circulatory and heart problems. It became accepted theory and no one really argued with it. Read More→
